The ARM Energy Division is recruiting a seasoned Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer for a critical project.
Role Overview
This position involves working on various major new or upgraded dock design, berth, and building infrastructure projects for ship and submarine sustainment programs.
Duties
* Develop technical design documentation, including requirements, design reports, presentations, and calculations.
* Oversee the generation of 3D models, 2D CAD drawings, and BOMs.
* Draft technical queries and change records.
* Manage the conversion of existing design records into 3D models.
* Maintain and update project registers for technical queries, change requests, design review requests, and design review actions.
* Determine design task durations to support the principal engineer and project manager in planning activities.
Requirements
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of engineering works, mechanical handling, mechanical or electrical systems/services.
* Awareness of cranes is not essential but desirable.
* Experience in mechanical design, including new or modified structures and systems, concept, detail design, implementation, and commissioning.
* A proven track record in completing work packages in a highly regulated environment.
* Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or similar software to oversee model and drawing production of mechanical components.
* Proficiency in using MathCAD for drafting technical calculations.
