Based at our site in Ely, working within our Assembly department. Monday to Friday 40hrs rotating 06.00-14.00 and 14.00-22.00. Job Overview To safely operate a variety of equipment and systems, while working as part of a team, and to ensure 100% quality and service to our customers. The post holder will show a full understanding of company job specifications, drawings, safe systems of work and procedures, and be able to communicate and share, as required, with colleagues, visitors and auditors. Key Accountabilities Ensure adherence to all health, safety, hygiene and environmental laws, as well as local policies. Using safety interaction cards, record ideas for improvement of safety or addressing of immediate safety hazards. Complete machine start-up checks and record findings on relevant forms Log performance and quality data onto various business systems, including the shop floor data capture system, MIS and OEE. Conduct first-off inspection for quality assurance and perform continuous quality checks throughout the day. Undertake training on various machines/processes from a fully trained operator/instructor. Seek and find ways to improve performance in all areas. Perform any assigned task, having received the relevant training. Log and control material batches to be used on specific jobs Support agency workers to maintain the required standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Achieve productivity and waste performance targets, following initial training and induction. Take instruction from the area team leader daily, and work together to ensure that customer needs are met in a fast paced and dynamic environment Ensure that their personal hygiene is maintained to a high level and abide by all site rules regarding BRC rules. Person Specification (minimum requirements) Education & Certifications Must be able to speak English conversationally. Must be able to read and write English to a level where procedures and safe systems of work are clearly understood by the post holder. Good mathematical skills would be an advantage. Job Specific Technical Requirements Comfortable using computers to access and add data to business systems to a basic level Manually dexterous. Basic machinery awareness.
