Healthcare Assistants
I am looking for experienced healthcare assistants for various care homes in Norfolk. You must be kind, patient, empathetic, and want to make a difference in someone's life.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with daily living activities: Helping patients with eating, showering, using the toilet, and moving around.
2. Monitoring vital signs: Taking patients' blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight.
3. Providing personal care: Washing, dressing, and grooming patients.
4. Maintaining cleanliness: Helping to tidy patients' rooms and ensuring a clean environment.
5. Supporting nursing staff: Assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals as needed.
6. Communicating with patients: Reassuring and talking to patients to make them feel comfortable.
7. Administrative tasks: Restocking consulting rooms, sterilizing equipment, and processing lab samples.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Caring and kind: Being compassionate and empathetic towards patients.
2. Good communication skills: Both written and verbal.
3. Team player: Working well with other healthcare professionals.
4. Organizational skills: Keeping track of tasks and patient information.
5. Physical fitness: Being able to assist with moving patients and performing personal care tasks.
6. Basic literacy and numeracy: Understanding and following instructions and procedures.
