At Leader Education, we are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support children within a SEND school that caters for both primary and secondary students, based in North Shields, North Tyneside. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have previous experience working with young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30.

The successful candidate will:
* Need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or be willing to obtain one
* Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs
* Monitor and manage students' behaviour and wellbeing
* Support the development of social and emotional skills
* Assist with personal care if needed
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
* Exhibit a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs
