The SHE Officer responsibilities include: Your key responsibilities - Champion SHE excellence and Occupational Health (OH) for the Dalry Site - Provide practical advice on Safety and Occupational Health issues - Manage, develop and implement Occupational Safety and Health systems to ensure compliance with Corporate and UK legislation - Lead completion and review of Occupational Health and Safety risk assessments - Ensure site wide implementation of chemicals legislation REACH, CLP and GHS requirements - Provides support for the management of asbestos and legionella on site - Co-ordinate and conduct workplace Occupational hygiene monitoring requirements - Provide technical advice and leadership to implement Safety and OH system improvements - Conduct audits and inspections on Occupational Health and Safety standards - Support on-site radiation tasks/radiography in the role of Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) - Provide support to the Occupational Health Nurse - Investigate Safety and OH incidents on site and ensure compliance with site and DSM standards - Maintains a close working relationship with production and gains area specific SHE knowledge - Supports at department safety meetings - Preparation, delivery and co-ordination of Safety and Occupational Health training such as RPE and work at height - Provide support and expertise to manage exposure control systems LEVs and RPE - Support SHE reporting and maintenance of relevant systems, accreditations and standards - Ensure PPE in compliance with DSM standards and support PPE evaluation as needed - Prepare and revise SHE policies and procedures - Maintain good relationships with external regulators We bring - A rich history and a promising future of bold scientific innovation and passionate creation with our customers. - The ability to be a part of a highly creative and imaginative team in an incredibly competitive and inspiring industry - A fast-paced environment surrounded by some of the biggest talents and brands in the beauty and fragrance industries. - An eagerness to be one team and learn from each other to bring progress to life and create a better future - A supportive workplace environment with importance placed on work/life balance. - A firm belief that working together with our customers is the key to achieving great things. - An esteemed leadership team driving the industry forward, offering mentorship and guidance to shape your career path. You bring - Successful candidate will have a keen interest in SHE and have suitable qualifications relating to SHE eg. NEBOSH Diploma. - Experience of managing SHE within manufacturing/multi-project environment is desirable. - A thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential. - Candidate should have proven track record of competence in their current role with excellent interpersonal, planning and organisation skills. - Other essential behaviours are self-motivation, team player, excellent communication and auditing skills and ability to engage positively with others.
