Assistant Additional Learning Support Coordinator

We are recruiting an Additional Learning Support (ALS) Coordinator, responsible for the coordination of in-class support for students with a range of learning difficulties, disabilities, and other vulnerabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring our students receive the support they need to succeed.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience supporting learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
* Thorough knowledge of learning difficulties/disabilities and support strategies.
* Understanding of Child/Adult Protection issues.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a demanding workload.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Assist in coordinating in-class support services for students across various programmes (Level E1 – Level 4).
* Supervise and support a team of learning support assistants.
* Act as a key contact for Looked After Children, ensuring their educational progress.
* Liaise with the ALS Coordinator and contribute to the PDPR process.
* Monitor and report on support activities, ensuring accurate records.
* Support curriculum areas with PEEPs and liaise with the Health and Safety team.
* Participate in staff meetings, student disciplinaries, and case conferences.
