We are working with a growing and successful manufacturing company, and due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the business. This is an office-based role - Monday to Friday. Supporting across a number of sites, there will be travel 1-2 days per month which will include an overnight stay. Candidates will need to hold a full UK driver’s license. Reporting into the HR Manager and providing support to c400 employees across multi-sites, the focus of the role is to assist the HR Manager in the delivery of a full range of Human Resources services. This will include supporting with employee relations, promoting best practices in HR management, advisory services to stakeholders, continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and processes and all areas of generalist HR. Key duties will include; Reporting into HR Manager and working as part of a team of 5. Providing HR support to c400 employees across multiple sites - 80% blue collar and 20% white collar Provide HR advice in relation to policy, best practice and process for employee relation matters, performance management and disciplinary and grievance matters. Provide expert advice and support to line managers on a wide range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and absence Manage complex employee relations cases, providing guidance on investigations, hearings and outcomes. Ensuring cases are documented accurately and in accordance with legal and best practice, and ensure consistency across all cases Coach and develop line managers on HR best practices and processes, ensuring they are equipped to manage their teams effectively and in line with company policies and Employment Law regulations. Travel to sites around 1-2 days per month (overnight stay) to support HR initiatives, conduct HR related training and engage with employees and managers directly. Support and guide managers in the performance issues and appraisals, ensuring that performance management systems are aligned with business goals and deadlines. Produce monthly / weekly reports as directed by the HR Manager, including HR reports and overtime and lost time analysis. Contribute to the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are compliant with UK employment law and best practices Assist with some admin support for the Human Resources function, by producing letters, contracts of employment, induction packs, etc Support with recruitment and selection from temporary agency workers to permanent employees as directed and guided by the Human Resources Manager. For this role candidates will need to have exposure within a busy HR team at this level and be passionate about a career in HR. Ideally candidates will be CIPD Qualified Level 5 or Level 7. A confident and outgoing approach is required, with excellent communication and advisory skills is required for this role. Proven generalist HR experience is essential, with experience of managing ER cases from start to finish.
