Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in people's lives, every single day? Do you want to be part of a team, supporting a group of individuals to live independently and enjoy all the things they love? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
We are currently recruiting for Part-Time Support Workers to join our team in Haverhill, where no two days are ever the same! In this person-centred role, you will provide support to a group of adults aged between 30 and 80. You will be helping people to live their best lives, encouraging their independence, and ensuring they have opportunities to enjoy their hobbies, interests, and social events.
What You will Be Doing
You will support a group of individuals to live independently in their homes across eight supported living flats. Your role will involve providing 1:1 support and, at times, 2:1 support when supporting people to be present in the community. We are looking for someone flexible who can support with a wide range of interests and routines, from medical appointments and family visits to social outings and day trips.
- Helping individuals with trips to the zoo, local parks, the sensory room, town visits, or going out for long walks. You will also be involved in taking people to church on Saturdays, day centres, or even planning holidays!
- Some people may need support attending social events like discos or community celebrations, while others may need help with visiting friends or family. You will be there to drop them off, stay involved, and pick them up after the event.
- Supporting with meal planning, shopping, and cooking, ensuring the meals are nutritious and tailored to individual preferences.
- Assisting with a range of personal care, from prompting to full support, depending on the person's needs.
- Supporting the safe administration of medication, including oral medication.
This is a role which requires your flexibility, with shifts ranging from 8am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and weekends.
Who We are Looking For
We are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible. Ideally, you will be local to the Haverhill area and able to work flexibly across all eight flats.
