We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teachers to join the educational teams, for three different Shropshire based schools!
Start Dates: As soon as possible / Easter 2025
Sciences: Mixed, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Key Stages: 3 and 4
Duration: Until July in the first instance.
Timetable: Full time preferable
LEA: Shropshire
The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students through scientific concepts and experiments. This role involves preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, and helping students develop a deep understanding of various scientific disciplines, such as biology, chemistry, physics, or earth sciences.
As the Science teacher, you will:
* Prepare and deliver interactive lessons in science subjects based on the curriculum.
* Incorporate various teaching methods, including demonstrations, hands-on activities, Develop assessments to evaluate students' knowledge and understanding.
* Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to help them improve their academic performance.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
* Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Set clear expectations and manage student behaviour to ensure an effective learning space.
* Provide additional support to students who need assistance with the subject matter.
* Offer one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions as needed to reinforce key concepts.
* Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to ensure the success of each student.
* Attend faculty meetings and participate in school events, conferences, and professional Ensure that all science experiments and activities are conducted safely and in compliance with school and district guidelines.
* Promote safety awareness and proper use of scientific equipment.
