They embody leadership, compassion, and a strong commitment to the wellbeing of both residents and staff. The Deputy Manager plays a pivotal role in cultivating a nurturing, supportive atmosphere where residents feel safe, valued, and respected, while also empowering staff to provide high-quality care with professionalism and clinical excellence. Working closely with the Home Manager, the Deputy Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Home, ensuring compliance with regulations, financial stability, and a focus on continuous improvement. They lead by example, inspiring the team to maintain the highest standards of care while offering support and guidance when needed. The Deputy Manager also supports the team in developing meaningful relationships with residents, built on trust and rapport, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging within the Home. The Home This care home is a warm and caring facility located near the heart of Newry. It consists of two units: General Nursing and Dementia Nursing. This care home offers a variety of care services for older individuals and those living with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, End-of-Life Care, Respite, Stroke, Epilepsy, Visual Impairment, and Challenging Behaviours. The role: Assist the Home Manager in the overall management and administration of the Home, including staffing, budgeting and regulatory compliance, in addition to ensuring the highest level of clinical care. Provide leadership and supervision to the team, including recruitment, training, performance management and team development. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed in collaboration with the Home Manager and care teams. Maintains positive contact with commissioners and referrers to develop confidence in service provision. Carries out or ensures that all risk assessments are carried out in a rigorous and timely manner. Proactively participate in the company quality and compliance policy and procedures.
