Staff365 are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Buyer on a permanent basis on behalf of our client located in Rotherham.
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 DOE
Hours of work: 09:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
1. Effective planning, purchasing, and expediting
2. Generating purchase orders
3. Keeping track of stock and managing budgets effectively
4. Managing the order book and scheduling
5. Maintaining regular communication with other departments to streamline processes
6. Maintaining Commodity/Import codes
7. Monitoring quotas
8. Reconciliation of Deferment accounts
9. Admin of import documents/sending to clearing agents
10. General admin office duties
Experience Required:
1. Exceptional communication skills
2. Thrives under pressure, responding quickly to daily challenges
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
4. Problem-solving and decision-making skills
5. Strong organisational skills
6. Previous experience in Supply Chain/Purchasing within the manufacturing market
7. Good level of analytical skills
8. Excellent Excel skills (vlookup, sumif, pivot table at a minimum)
