Contributes to the design, implementation and monitoring of adherence to local Pharmacy, Trust and National policies for the safe and efficient running of the Clinical Pharmacy Services, taking corrective action when necessary. To contribute to the creation and updating of Standard Operational Procedures. To contribute to the development of the pharmacy service at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS FT. Ensures that the Clinical Pharmacy Services provide a high quality, low cost, low risk service with added value. To be responsible for and monitor the appropriate budgets for which you have responsibility e.g. staffing and equipment within the section. Team leader for Clinical Pharmacy Services. Liaises with other pharmacy section heads on matters of mutual interest. Contributes to the personal development of staff within this section by participating in assessments of need, proficiency and the delivery of training. Contributes to the development of Trust Medical, Medical Students and other Clinical staff by participating in assessments of need, proficiency and the delivery of training. Supports junior pharmacy staff in performing their duties. Carry out regular appraisals for staff, ensuring business goals are clearly communicated and linked to objectives. Review training and development of all staff, so all staff have a personal development plan and support staff in reaching their full potential through the appraisal process. Act as a designated and authorised Pharmacy key holder. Ensure that all appropriate information is captured and recorded accurately. To support pharmacy practice research. Provide professional leadership and advice to all pharmacy staff working in the Trust.
