Your role
Rethink Mental Illness are hiring a Mental Health Recovery/Support Worker to join our Step Up Service in Yeovil - Somerset.
Our Step Up service in Yeovil, Somerset, provides short term support to individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis. The service is accessible to adults aged 18 and above, and has 6 beds with communal areas such as kitchen and lounge. The service is registered with CQC and staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and staff work in partnership with Somerset Foundation NHS Trust.
As a Mental Health Recovery/Support Worker you will: offer people affected by mental illness the support and help they need to regain their confidence and get involved in everyday social and workplace activities. You will be working closely with service users to achieve their own personal goals and access all the support they need on their recovery journey.
I will work with the following people and teams:
* Service Users
* Bank Support Workers / Support Workers
* Service Manager

* I have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role.
* I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn.
* I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
