As Estates Contract Manager (Soft FM), you will play a pivotal role in contract management of business-critical Estates related soft services contracts, through direct management or management within your Estates team, to ensure these soft service FM contracts are managed in line with Government Property Standards 004, Estate and Property Management and UKAEAs own strategic goals.
The post holder is required to ensure that the Estate services being delivered meets the needs of the growing campus.
Contract Management within this position directly or oversight of are, Estates Grounds and Associated services, Biodiversity, Forklift Vehicles, Tree Surgery, Pest Control and Locksmith Services.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Procuring and managing contracts for a number of Estates related FM Soft Services provided in alignment with Government Property 004 Strategy, Estates and Property Management.
* Ensuring compliance of UKAEA and Contract Management procurement and management of service contracts.
* Ensuring Estates Contracts have sufficient change control processes implemented to adapt Campus 2050 Vision and carrying-out regular stakeholder engagement with Campus to ensure collaborative working.
* Understanding and being able to implement dynamic management of Biodiversity, incorporating the imperative link to Net Gain Banking for the future of Culham Campus.
* Ensuring contracts represent good value for money and monitoring spends against budget to keep within the budget set and ensuring there is sound justification for spend over budget.
* First line Manager for staff within the Estates Team responsible for recruitment, setting and managing workloads, monitoring work and attendance, motivating and guiding the team, completing the APS process, setting, and reviewing personal goals and dealing with any performance issues promptly. CPM to Agency Supplied workers.
Minimum Requirements:
* Government Commercial College Contract Management qualification (UKAEA would support if GCC Qualification was not held), or proven equivalent experience within Facilities Management.
* Membership of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM).
* Significant experience in Soft FM contract procurement and management of FM contracts ideally within a government organisation.
* Experience of Horticultural and Arboriculture practices.
* Experience of Biodiversity and the link to Net Gain Banking.
* Demonstrable experience in writing contract tender documents and an understanding of contract terms and conditions.
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Good understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations.
