About the Team
E-commerce's Governance and Experience (GNE) is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only our users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. The Seller Governance team plays an impactful role in ensuring that our merchants conform to regulatory and platform requirements, to minimize ecosystem risks and enhance customers' trust in TikTok Shop.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and implement risk management controls for seller onboarding on TikTok Shop in the UK and across EMEA.
2. Design seller performance programs and policies to mitigate negative customer experiences (order cancellation, late shipment, seller service, etc.) while balancing seller experience.
3. Establish processes and investigational frameworks to identify emerging seller abuse patterns and respond to any regulatory inquiries regarding sellers' malicious behaviors.
4. Support regional teams to drive key metric improvements in areas related to seller onboarding (KYB/KYC) and seller performance.
5. Lead, cultivate, and provide guidance to team members and design career development opportunities for them.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field.
2. Extensive experience in risk management strategies/policies.
3. Deep understanding of sellers' ecosystem or merchandise compliance fields.
4. At least 3 years of people management experience in managing global, multi-location teams.
5. Demonstrated past success working in a matrix environment and ability to influence key stakeholders using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in conceiving, coordinating, analyzing, and disseminating qualitative and quantitative research projects.
2. Direct or indirect experience in Ecommerce (marketplace) or with transactional platforms.
3. Significant experience in presenting metrics and progress to senior leadership.
