The Endoscopy Directorate is looking for a flexible, hardworking and enthusiastic individual willing to become a member of an industrious team providing a front line service to patients and staff.
The successful applicant will be working in a challenging environment requiring a high level of flexibility which may involve some evening and weekend working. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure and tight time constraints are required. You must be able to manage your own workload whilst having the ability to work as part of a team. You will be required to show empathy and have a caring and pleasant approach to the role.
Main Duties of the Job
The role involves working to support the reception staff and the department to achieve targets including list utilisation, waiting lists management, 2ww, Routine/urgent diagnostics, and planned and surveillance targets.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Good standard general education GCSE and above in Maths/English
* NVQ Business Studies or equivalent
Experience
* Experience in a customer service environment
* Aptitude to investigate queries and take appropriate action
* Ability to communicate with a range of people using telephone, email, or face-to-face
* Experience of operating outpatient systems and procedures
* Experience using a range of IT systems
* Supervisory or team leader experience
Skills, Ability, and Knowledge
* Knowledge of Data Quality
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines
* Basic knowledge of RTT (Referral to Treatment); further training will be provided
* Knowledge of Trust systems and referral information
* Understanding of waiting list management
