Schoen Clinic York is a specialised hospital which cares for adults diagnosed with eating disorders and service users with complex dementia in the north of England. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Services Manager who is registered with a professional body and has the ability to take the lead with co-ordinating clinical services alongside supporting senior management with the development of the service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality, evidence-based care and treatment is delivered to our patients alongside providing leadership, supervision and contributing to Schoen’s Clinical Governance agenda. The Clinical Manager represents Schoen Clinic on both a national and international level, and as such will need to be a trusted representative of the Schoen Clinic brand. The successful candidate should be a role model both internally to colleagues and externally to the market and are expected to operate with a high degree of integrity and emotional intelligence. Principle Duties The Clinical Services Manager is registered with a professional body and will maintain the registration. The successful candidate will contribute to service development and have the ability to deputise for the Hospital Director. Typical day-to-day duties include: Work with the Quality Team, nursing and therapy colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary change Ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Capacity Act and Health and Social Care Act are fulfilled; Deputise for the Hospital Director, working with the Ward Manager with the highly specialist assessment, admission and discharge of service users; Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, treatment and management of risk for individuals with complex needs, and support others to be able to do this; Provide specialist advice which contributes to the care of service users; Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings as and when required; Conduct clinical assessments of referred service users where time permits, and manage clinical allocation with the Ward Manager; This opportunity requires the successful candidate to ensure there are processes and systems in place for the team to provide effective, caring and responsive patient care in a safe, high-quality clinical environment.
