As we expand our reach across retail, wholesale, and food service, we’re looking for a Key Account Manager to play a pivotal role in growing our partnerships, driving sales, and ensuring our brand continues to thrive in the market.
About the Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding Nojo’s key retail and wholesale accounts, driving sales performance, and building long-term strategic relationships. You will collaborate closely with our Operations, Marketing, and Leadership teams to deliver strong commercial results, optimise joint business plans (JBPs), and ensure seamless execution across our key partners.

Key Responsibilities1. Account Management & Customer Relationships
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Nojo’s retail and distributor partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and food service partners to drive brand loyalty and sales growth.
* Provide proactive and timely support, resolving customer inquiries and operational challenges in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
* Oversee new product listings, promotional campaigns, and online visibility, ensuring strong execution.
* Maintain and update New Line Forms for new and existing products.
* Monitor account performance, compiling weekly/monthly reports with insights into sales trends, customer feedback, and areas for improvement.
* Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with partners to strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities.
* Review and refine JBPs, adapting strategies to align with market shifts and customer needs.
2. Sales & Business Development
* Drive revenue growth and sales performance, ensuring existing partners remain engaged while identifying new business opportunities.
* Research market trends and prospective leads (domestic & international) to expand Nojo’s market presence.
* Manage onboarding for new accounts, ensuring compliance with paperwork, safety standards, and operational processes.
* Keep retail and wholesale partners informed about new product developments, showcasing USPs and competitive advantages.
* Conduct outreach to new potential customers, positioning Nojo as a premium, must-have brand.
* Identify and onboard route-to-market (RTM) wholesalers for food service opportunities, securing strategic distribution.
* Own the entire sales cycle—from initial outreach to negotiation, closing, and account activation.
* Benchmark pricing strategies and market positioning, leveraging customer insights and competitor data.
3. Order & Stock Coordination
* Ensure stock levels align with rate of sale (ROS) to prevent shortages or overstocking.
* Manage orders via Faire and Ankorstore, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and participation in online trade shows.
* Monitor cash flow and sales data, identifying promotional and replenishment opportunities.
* Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth logistics and inventory management.
* Handle delivery claims, refunds, and order fulfilment processes, maintaining exceptional customer service.
* Manage 3PL order submissions, tracking fulfilment and maintaining consolidated reports.
* Dispatch product samples to key accounts and potential partners.
* Generate and send invoices, ensuring accurate financial records.
* Have a basic understanding of export documentation and Incoterms.
4. Trade & Channel Marketing
* Work with the Founder to develop and implement joint business plans (JBPs) that drive mutual growth.
* Analyse and optimise marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective promotions and strategic investments.
* Plan and execute promotional calendars, aligning with retailer timelines and seasonal campaigns.
* Oversee the Citrus Platform, maximising Nojo’s performance on Ocado and Zoom Accounts.
* Conduct customer trend analysis, leveraging insights to refine marketing and sales strategies.
* Develop compelling trade marketing materials, including flyers, presentations, postcards, and sales decks.
* Represent Nojo at key FMCG trade shows, managing event logistics and branding.
* Track and apply for industry awards, ensuring Nojo is recognised for its innovation and excellence.
5. Commercial & Financial Planning
* Develop and implement pricing and margin strategies, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
* Analyse sales data, promotional impact, and market trends to create accurate sales forecasts.
* Track and manage marketing expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgeted targets.
6. Administration & CRM Management
* Handle ad hoc administrative tasks, supporting the Founder with business operations.
* Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all customer interactions are well-documented.
* Manage SharePoint file structures, serving as a key resource for document organisation.
What We’re Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* 3+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development within FMCG, retail, or food industry.
* Strong track record of managing wholesale and retail relationships, driving revenue growth.
* Experience in trade marketing, promotional planning, and account management.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing key stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and CRM tools.
* Experience working with major retailers and wholesalers—Ocado experience preferred.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
