Role Overview
The Sexual Offence Examiner will be responsible for (duties will include, but are not limited to):
1. providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues.
2. undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
3. using a camera system to document injuries.
4. sharing information where appropriate.
5. producing individual management plans.
6. supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
7. forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.

About the Role
Sexual Offence Examiners (Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedics) are needed across multiple locations in the Thames Valley.

We are expanding and are looking for caring and compassionate nurses (RGNs) to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
Each region has its own dedicated SARC (sexual assault referral centre) which offers support and practical help to anyone who has been a victim of rape or sexual assault. Our services are co-funded by the police and the NHS.
The nursing team is responsible for providing a dedicated 24/7 service for forensic and acute health needs and requirements.
We have a variety of locations and hours available, and shift patterns will be 12 hour shifts, 24/7, Monday-Sunday.
Salary: £42,379.39-£44,498.36 pro rata FTE

Essential Skills
Essential Skills Required:
* Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic.
* NMC pin, RGN
* A minimum of 3 years + Nursing post-qualification experience in acute medical healthcare.
* Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children.
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults.
* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
* A full UK driving license.
