In this role, you'll dive into the operations of our team, eventually progressing to managing a variety of payrolls for our diverse client base. About Our Client Payroll Team: Our Client Payroll department provides a comprehensive, first class, bespoke client payroll service to a broad client base, which is predominantly SME and domestic. There are, however, some very large corporate payrolls serviced by the team. Many of our clients have fully outsourced their payroll operations to us and we provide weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and annual payrolls. With a rich history of providing exceptional service to our clients, we take pride in our role as trusted advisors in financial matters. About Our Payroll Apprentice Programme: Our Payroll Apprenticeship Programme places you in our Client Payroll team, setting the stage for a successful career at Rawlinson & Hunter LLP. You’ll undergo a dynamic 18-month training period to complete your Level 3 Payroll qualification. Following your successful completion, you will become a permanent member of the team with the opportunitty to develop a long lasting career here at Rawlinson & Hunter LLP. What You’ll Do: Assist the team in preparing client UK payrolls on various frequencies Learn to incorporate payroll changes within agreed deadlines Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, etc Support in generating management information and reports Assist in providing secure payslips for employees Gain experience in utilising the BACS system for payments Observe and learn to advise clients on payroll matters What We’re Looking For: Minimum A – C Grade (or equivalent) in 3 A-Level subjects Minimum 9 – 7 Grade in English and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent) Familiarity with excel, word and writing emails preferably in an office environment A keen interest in payroll administration and a willingness to learn Clear written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Capacity to multitask and reprioritise workload efficiently Basic IT skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Why Join Us: At Rawlinson & Hunter LLP, we offer a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages professional growth.
