Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Gloucester
Hours: Depending on your availability. Flexible, ad hoc, part time or full time.
Due to the high demand, Veritas Education are looking for teachers to support the primary schools across the Gloucester area
A supply teacher temporarily takes over classroom duties in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Management: Maintain discipline and ensure a safe learning environment. Follow the school's behaviour policies.
Lesson Delivery: Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher. Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of the students.
Student Engagement: Motivate and engage students in learning activities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Assessment: Administer tests, quizzes, and assignments as required. Provide feedback and report on student progress.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, student performance, and any incidents that occur during the day.
Communication: Collaborate with other teachers and school staff. Communicate effectively with students and parents as needed.
Adaptability: Be prepared to teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, often with short notice.
Professional Development: Stay updated on educational practices and school policies.
Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
Strong classroom management skills, adaptability, effective communication, and the ability to engage and motivate students. Personal Attributes:
