The Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning and development. This includes:
Leading small group intervention sessions to help children reach their learning goals.
Providing additional support for children with special educational needs (SEN), adapting activities to suit individual needs.
Assisting the class teacher in creating an engaging, positive learning environment.
Building strong, supportive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence and independence.
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers to inform lesson planning.
Supporting the delivery of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, ensuring all children are engaged and included.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting children’s development and education.
Patient, empathetic, and able to work effectively with children who have additional needs.
Confident in leading small groups and delivering targeted interventions.
A great communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
Flexible, proactive, and eager to contribute to our school community.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualifications:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Experience working with children with SEN or providing intervention support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
