If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school located in The New Forest. This role will see you working within the school’s dedicated SEN Provision, supporting students on EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), with a range of needs including Autism, Learning Difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. The Role: Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs. Supporting pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning outcomes. Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Encouraging independence, building confidence, and developing students' social and emotional well-being. Working alongside the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and classroom teachers to provide tailored support. Supporting students with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, and other complex needs. What We're Looking For: Previous experience working with young people with SEN, either in a school, care, or support setting. Understanding of Autism, Learning Difficulties, and other additional needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students. Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with students and staff. Resilience and a proactive attitude to supporting students in their education journey. Why Work with GSL Education?
