Interim Director of Finance job with our Edinburgh-based not-for-profit client for an initial 4-6 month period.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing the annual budgeting process and its regular monthly monitoring and reporting, including to the Chief Executive, Operational Management and the Board
2. Leading on Treasury Plan, including commissioning independent advice, and progressing all borrowing and loan requirements with lenders
3. Participating in the development and review of strategic plans
4. Supporting colleagues in financial planning for current and future activities, including developing forecasting tools, option appraisals, and reporting systems
5. Acting as the main point of contact with the External Auditors
6. Ensuring the finance function and team are efficiently managed
7. Producing timely and accurate budgets and accounts; effective treasury management, and the provision of an effective financial management and financial planning service
8. Ensuring a high standard of preparation and presentation of all financial information to the Chief Executive and Board
9. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as well as organisational standards
10. Advising the CEO and Board in all matters relating to finance
11. Ensuring all finance-related risks are identified in the Board Assurance Framework, and are on the organisation's Risk Registers
To apply, you will be a fully qualified accountant and experienced Director of Finance / Head of Finance ideally from within the charitable or not-for-profit sectors. The start date will be in January 2025 or before, if the right candidate is available. Salary: circa £90,000 p.a. or day rate equivalent.
