We are looking for a full-time Consultant Interventional Radiologist post based at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. Applicants should possess the appropriate skill set in vascular and non-vascular intervention to support and help develop interventional radiology services. The successful candidate will join a team of 5 interventional radiology consultants. The Lister Hospital site is fully accredited for training in general radiology and we provide core training in IR and also train senior trainees rotating in IR.
Main duties of the job
To deliver high quality interventional radiology, supporting and developing services within the trust and the vascular network.
The diagnostic radiology commitment will be in line with current RCR recommendations.
Job responsibilities
* Maintenance of high quality patient centred care
* Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
* Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
* Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
* Active participation in continuing medical education

Qualifications / Training
Essential
* Entry on GMC Specialist Register or, be within 6 months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview or, provide GMC confirmed eligibility for entry on the Specialist Register
* College Fellowship (FRCR) or qualification of an equivalent level

* Postgraduate academic degree
