Senior Physiotherapist
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our Older Persons Medicine (OPM) Therapy Team on The Zetland Ward at Redcar Primary Care Hospital. The post holder will be employed as a Senior Physiotherapist working collaboratively with Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Generic Assistants.

It comprises two acute hospitals, James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital Northallerton and a number of community hospitals including Redcar Primary Care Hospital which has a rehabilitation Unit. James Cook University Hospital is a major trauma centre and provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to have experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, including the physiotherapy assessment, treatment plans and management of patients, patient flow and facilitating discharges. Additionally, experience working with OPM will be required. Along with experience of supervising and day-to-day leadership of junior staffing required.
The Therapy Services is a well-established large, progressive and dynamic service, which continues to develop within the wider trust. The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from senior clinicians and the AHP Service Leads.
This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills and the post holder will be supported to attend relevant post-graduate courses. We have an established and comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, clinical supervision and the appraisal process. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research as the hospital has close links with the local universities.

Qualifications and training
Essential
* To hold a Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
* To be registered as a Physiotherapist and fit to practice by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

* Achieved or willing to work towards relevant post-graduate qualification/training

* Access to a vehicle for work purposes and a full UK driving license, to meet the requirements of the role
