Director of People Services
East Sussex College is a people-centric, values-driven, ambitious and inclusive Further Education College with over 1,300 colleagues and over 5500 students. We offer a broad curriculum including A Levels, T-levels, work based, 14-19, HE and adult programmes with campuses in Eastbourne, Hastings, Lewes and Newhaven. This is an exciting time to join us as we grow and develop even stronger pathways for our students and communities.
We are looking for a credible and experienced HR professional who will lead our People Services functions across the College. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will have a strong track record of building an inclusive culture, providing pragmatic solutions and advice, and building excellent relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike.
You’ll have strong communication skills and will be used to leading, influencing and motivating those around you. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and constantly looking at ways to improve the service across a range of activities.
Our ideal candidate will be dynamic, confident and resilient. Sector experience is less important than being solution focused and your ability to work with ambiguity and change.
If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role with an opportunity to have a positive impact on further education in East Sussex, we would love to hear from you!
In return we can offer you:
• A competitive salary
• Generous pension with an employer contribution of 20.7%
• Generous annual leave entitlement
