Job Description Summary Optimal availability of materials to meet customer demand and support business operations is a key success factor for GA GSC. The implementation of Pull Replenishment methods has been demonstrated to be the best way of achieving reduced lead times to our customers, resulting in improved customer service levels (OTD) and reducing inventory levels, resulting in improved cash flow. This role focuses on driving the GA GSC Pull Replenishment strategy, its implementation and monitoring progress within GA GSC factories and their suppliers. The overall objective and measure for this role is to increase the annual procurement spend on Pull Replenishment, reducing supplier delivery lead-times and delivery lot sizes. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: - Identify opportunities working with the plants, develop a plan to implement Pull Replenishment. Analysis (Plan): - Analyze Spend data to identify parts and suppliers not currently in Pull Replenishment - Work with Plant Materials and Sourcing teams to evaluate Pull Replenishment feasibility. - Overcome obstacles to implementing Pull Replenishment Process Development (Do) - Create an implementation plan for achieving the overall objective. - Develop the process to turn Pull Replenishment implementation into Standard Work, developing a 'Play Book' and supporting information and training materials. - Leverage Lean resources within each plant to drive the implementation, including alignment to plants Lean Road map and using Kaizen events to facilitate 'Go Live' activities. - Identify improvement opportunities and fold lessons learnt back into the implementation process. Reporting (Check): - Provide regular updates to stakeholders including plant teams GSC functional teams and leadership - Measure and report Implementation plan, status, and risks. - Report overall goal achievement - percentage of GA GSC Annual spend on Pull replenishment. - Ensure the ongoing management process and responsibilities are followed by plants and supplies to safeguard a robust and sustainable process, including tracking Pull Replenishment shortages, Excess or Obsolete material on Pull Replenishment. Project Management(Act) - Drive project adherence ensuring timelines, milestones and KPIs are on track and met. - Identify risks and ensure mitigation plans in place as needed. - Engaging stakeholders, understanding their needs, and keeping them informed. Cross-functional Collaboration: - Partner with Material, Sourcing and Finance teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. - Communicate with stakeholders to resolve any supply chain or inventory issues. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a similar role. - Have legal authorization to work in Canada and be aware that any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a pre-employment verification. Desired Characteristics: - Experience in leadership roles within a complex, global matrixed managed multi-site organization. - Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). - Certification in supply chain or inventory management (e.g., APICS, CPIM). - Experience with lean or Six Sigma methodologies - GB or BB - Ability to adapt to changing market and demand conditions. - Language: Proficient in English, with additional proficiency in French and Spanish considered an asset. - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple time zones. - Ability to work, listen and convince in a multicultural environment and with functional influence in a matrix organization. - Willingness and ability to travel as needed. - Proven: analytical and problem-solving skills, organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
