Associate Director, Global Sourcing Lead - Chemicals, Resins & Filter Aid

The Associate Director, Global Sourcing Lead will be responsible for sourcing strategies related to Chemicals, Resins & Filter Aid globally. This position is one of high visibility and influence across the CSL enterprise.
As a member of the Raw Materials Leadership team, you will lead and manage a team of Category & Sourcing Managers working within a complex matrix organization to ensure strategic alignment and effective sourcing practices globally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for Chemicals, Resins & Filter Aids.
2. Lead a high-performing team of regional category managers and sourcing managers.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
4. Act as a key member of the Raw Materials Leadership Team, contributing to team leadership and development.
5. Develop plans aligned to CSL Global and Procurement Strategy.
6. Lead the development & implementation of annual action plans within Global Category Strategies, ensuring clear objectives to reduce the total cost of ownership and risk, while increasing innovation, sustainability, customer service, compliance, and quality.
7. Establish and maintain effective Category Management and Bid Management.
8. Drive value by defining and implementing effective category management strategies; establishing and managing Councils for business-critical raw materials aligned with evolving business requirements.
9. Conduct opportunity analysis for current procurement practices and identify synergies on a cross-regional or global basis.
10. Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
11. Monitor and manage supply performance and conduct regular Business Reviews as per Procurement’s Governance processes.
12. Shape and develop supplier relationships to create value beyond the contract.
13. Evaluate market and supplier-driven innovations to ensure maximum value through cutting-edge technologies.
14. Lead, motivate, and develop employees within the Sourcing organization.
15. Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
16. Lead and participate in global transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
17. Lead annual opportunity analysis forums with cross-functional stakeholders and key supplier partners.
Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
1. At least 5 years of strategic sourcing experience, understanding of the pharmaceutical industry or related regulated industry preferred but not essential.
2. Strategic orientation, inquisitive, comfortable with ambiguity, and self-motivated.
3. Strong executive presence demonstrated through leadership and collaboration skills.
4. Demonstrated strength in organizing and leading global teams.
5. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Solid Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management knowledge.
8. Domestic travel as required (20-30%).
9. International travel as required (10-20%).
