Join our Global Manufacturing Client as a Buyer in Direct Procurement (UK & Ireland)
Our Client is seeking a dedicated Buyer to join its Direct Procurement Team. This role offers an excellent blend of professional growth and personal fulfilment, with the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from The Midlands. Flexible working arrangements will be considered to suit individual needs. This role has a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience plus up to 10% bonus, with benefits and CIPS sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement Business Risk Analysis plans and actions for managed categories.
* Enable the implementation of the Group procurement strategy.
* Identify and realise opportunities for strategic categories of spend, managing risks within the supply chain to deliver optimal solutions.
* Develop an understanding of key market drivers and trends to anticipate future market landscapes and implications for procurement.
* Actively participate in cross-functional projects, delivering risk reduction, innovation, and cost advantages in strategic categories of spend.
* Ensure compliance with the Group Sustainable Procurement Program, including the Supplier Charter and CSR assessments.
Skills And Experience Required
* MCIPS Chartered Procurement and Supply Professional or studying towards the qualification.
* Degree-level qualification or equivalent by experience.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information.
* Proven direct category management experience.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to solve problems.
* Ability to create and develop business relationships.
* Awareness of contract law and its application.
* Competence in negotiating, renewing, and structuring supplier contracts.
* Experience in cross-functional projects.
* Ability to prioritise effectively.
