Aboutthe Team
The Government Economic& Social Research Unit (GESR) is a friendly team, sittingwithin HM Treasury's Economics Group. We provide support to theGovernment Economic Service (GES) and Government Social Research(GSR)professions.
Wecurrently have around 20 people organised into two teams. The firstdevelops and implements strategy on behalf of the GES and GSRboards and delivers priority projects, including around the pivotaldiversity and inclusion agenda. The second runs an extensive rangeof operational activities on behalf of the professions, includingrecruitment, outreach, events and L&D. Delivery relies on closeworking between the two, which provides an excellent opportunity toget exposure to both operational and strategicchallenges.
As wellas collaborating across Government on shared agendas includinggrowing diversity in recruitment and improving policy making, wealso offer the great advantages of working inside HMTreasury!
AbouttheRole
Keyaccountabilities include:
1. Support theHead of Recruitment and Recruitment Manager in the planning ofend-to-end processes for the centralised GES recruitment schemes,to provide timely and high-quality resources across the CivilService, on a yearly basis.
2. Manage yourallocated campaign and actively handle all steps of the recruitmentprocess, including the communication to candidates, the interactionwith partners across the Civil Service and the actions on thedigital applicant tracking system i.e.Vx/Oleeo.
3. Build positive relationships withrecruitment partners and support the continuous improvement ofresourcing processes in line with employment legislation, CivilService Recruitment Principles and recruitment compliancereports.
4. Contribute to recruitment campaignreporting - Information management, briefing and analysis ofdiversity data as appropriate, to allow delivery of the GESRrecruitmentstrategy.
