Exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Orthopaedic Nurse, who wishes to provide gold standard care in a newly refurbished elective unit.
The successful candidate will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and discharge the elective Orthopaedic patients.
The unit will be operating a day case model for its arthroplasty patients and is truly an experience in multi professional working.
Main duties of the job
1. Assessing, planning, evaluating care promoting independence.
2. Medicines management, assisting with hygiene needs and skin checks, encouraging and assessing mobility (once appropriately trained).
3. Accurate record keeping.
4. Communicating clearly with patients, carers, team members and other professionals.
5. Contribute to providing a culture rich learning environment to students and other staff whilst assessing practice.
6. Contribute towards the smooth running and development of the department through effective teamwork, and participation in team meetings and education sessions.
7. Assisting with data gathering and audits to improve the patient experience.
8. To contribute to the cleanliness and tidiness of the ward environment.
9. Work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
