We are currently looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team supporting the accounting, financial reporting, and providing financial support for all entities within our Financial Shared Services team.
What will you be doing in this role?
As our Assistant Financial Accountant, you will support the statutory reporting process for all UK legal entities, ensure that all processes and procedures are performed in line with the agreed company standard operating procedures, and be an ambassador for our values; customer focus, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
The Ideal candidate:
You will be part qualified and studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or have a relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and be an advanced MS Excel user, comfortable with pivot tables, complex formula, data models, and macros. Being proactive, able to work to tight timescales, and offering all internal and external stakeholders an excellent customer experience is vital to the success of this role.
Key skills and experience:
* You will be studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or have relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience,
* Proven experience within an assistant financial accountant role,
* Advance excel user (pivot tables, complex formula, data models, ideally macros),
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in writing and verbally,
* An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload effectively,
* Excellent analytical skills and a good problem solver,
* Happy to work at multiple levels,
* Have a high attention to detail.

Some of your key responsibilities would be:
* Responsible for the accounting accuracy and integrity of several Revenue streams,
* Ensuring compliance and integrity of procedures, controls, and balance sheet reconciliations,
* Working across the Financial Shared Service team to ensure documentation of processes and procedures to secure ongoing control and compliance,
* Working with the Financial Shared Service team to produce the quarterly balance sheet and cash flow forecast, together with variance analysis,
* Support the UK Financial Audit and liaise with the auditors re queries and any information requests,
* Ensure monthly management and annual statutory reporting is accurate and delivered in line with reporting deadlines,
* Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed with risks and opportunities identified in line with reporting deadlines,
* Review monthly financial results with stakeholders, ensuring all issues are documented and appropriate actions agreed,
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process for all entities within UK Financial Shared Services,
* Continually look to review and improve processes, to drive efficiencies.
