Reporting to the Trust's Executive Director of Workforce, you will work in collaboration with members of the Workforce Senior Management Team across all aspects of the Trust's workforce agenda. You will directly lead on the Employee Experience and Engagement, Multi-professional Education, Learning and Development and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agendas.
You will be a compassionate and inclusive leader with credible education, learning and development experience of delivering against these agendas in large and complex organisations. You will inspire confidence built on your knowledge and expertise and support all our workforce functions to enable the Trust to deliver our strategic ambitions improving patient care, supporting our staff, and building for the future. NHS experience is not essential although demonstrable success working in a large complex organisation is.
Main duties of the job
The role of Director of People Experience, Education and Development has three core elements. To directly lead the following areas of work:
1. Employee Experience and Engagement, including workforce Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, Learning and Development with particular emphasis on Leadership and Management Development.
2. To lead the multi-disciplinary community of practice of the Trust's Multi-professional Education agenda in partnership with the broad coalition of stakeholders. To lead and further develop the Trust's Apprenticeship programmes.
3. To work with the Executive Director of Workforce and members of the Workforce Senior Management Team to lead on all aspects of the Trust's workforce strategies and plans.

* Extensive experience of working as a senior workforce education, learning and development specialist in a large complex organisation
* Experience of commissioning and managing external providers to deliver high quality programmes of work
* Experience of learning and development strategy development and successful implementation of workforce priorities and work plans
* Experience of designing and delivering EDI strategy that improves the experience of staff
* Proven ability to communicate highly complex / sensitive information to a wide range of audiences within the organisation and externally
