Head of Policy and Influencing (International) Salary : £39,938 - £46,000 Per Annum Location : Home-based Job Type : Permanent Job Time : Full Time Hours Per Week : 35 Closing Date : Sun, 9 Mar 2025 Reference : FEB20258725 The role We are looking for a Head of Policy and Influencing (International) to develop strategies for global and national influencing. You will form partnerships with global bodies (such as the World Hearing Forum) to influence their policies, whilst also seeking to shape and influence wider debates on ear and hearing care through thought leadership. You will also influence the policies of national governments in targeted LMICs so that they commit to introducing newborn hearing screening and early intervention. What you'll do - Cultivate & maintain relationships with key high-profile stakeholders, including government officials, policymakers, INGOs, global bodies and other relevant organisations, identifying opportunities to collaborate and influence. - Develop thought leadership, oversee the production of external policy reports and publications & act as an effective and engaging spokesperson at external events, conferences, and in the media. - Develop current knowledge of relevant legislative and policy developments, identifying opportunities for policy interventions. Develop & implement comprehensive influencing strategies to influence decision-makers at a national, and global level. - Provide support & advice to national or regional organisations (e.g. parent groups or OPDs) as part of your wider influencing strategy. - Establish metrics & benchmarks to track the effectiveness of activities and policy outcomes. What you'll need - A passion for delivering systemic change for deaf children and a commitment to championing high-quality early intervention support. - Ability to quickly develop & apply knowledge on unfamiliar and complex subjects. - Ability to work flexibly, with the ability to manage multiple workloads. Youre happy to travel internationally and work irregular hours when necessary. - Good judgement & cultural sensitivity, able to work effectively and appropriately with individuals from a wide range of different backgrounds and in different cultural contexts. - Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles. - A criminal record check (if offered the position).
