Job Advert We have a fantastic opportunity for Relief Support Workers to join our Service in Norton Stockton. Our rotas are generally two staff on per shift, shifts are varied and can include mornings, afternoons, evenings and waking nights 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. You will be working in our Supported Living Service helping to support two gentlemen both in the home and in the community, our team promotes person centred support and positive behavioural support when supporting people with complex needs. Both gentleman require different levels of support with personal care daily, they have good communication skills and clearly make their needs known. One likes to use pictorial planning for his daily activities. Staff supporting at this service need to know the people well. Both have support plans that offer information on how they like to be supported in most aspects of their lives which identify who, and what is important to them. As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals. Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships. Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.
