Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Holywood to recruit a Finance Assistant for a fixed term contract of 6 months
The candidate hired will be responsible to contribute to the professional delivery of accounting services in line with the Association`s business plan.
The post holder will support and assist the Finance Manager in ensuring that the company complies with all relevant regulatory, statutory and contractual requirements in relation to accounting services and will provide administration support to the team.
Duties:
1. Maintenance of approved supplier accounts on the system and weekly / monthly reconciliation of same.
2. Registration of invoices on the system and code where appropriate for all companies in the group.
3. Distribution of invoices to relevant officers for approval and follow up when required.
4. Assist in the processing of approved invoices including checking/inputting approved codes.
5. Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies on supplier accounts.
6. Assist in the processing of employee travel expenses.
7. Provide cover for BACS and cheque runs.
8. Assist as required in the maintenance of accounting routines performed by the finance team to meet reporting deadlines and ensure compliance with Association policies and procedures.
Criteria:
9. At least 2 years relevant experience (in the last 5 years) to include a working knowledge of BACS and operating in a computerised purchase ledger office environment.
AND
10. At least 5 GCSEs (minimum Grade C or equivalent) to include English and Maths OR further 2 years relevant experience in addition to the above
11. Excellent level of IT literacy with demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office, to include word processing and Excel spreadsheet experience and working with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy.

13. Full time - 37 hrs per week

15. Salary - £23,500 to £24,702 depending on experience
