This school provides exceptional education for students aged 11-19 diagnosed with autism spectrum conditions. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Maths, you will be instrumental in supporting students' academic growth, with a focus on GCSE Maths. Working alongside teachers and other staff, you will help to create a learning environment that enables students to thrive academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students in GCSE Mathematics, ensuring their understanding and engagement. Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated lesson plans and learning resources. Providing one-on-one and small group interventions to reinforce key mathematical concepts. Tailoring support for students with autism spectrum conditions, helping them overcome learning challenges. Monitoring student progress and reporting on development to help shape ongoing support strategies. Fostering a positive, inclusive environment where all students feel supported in their educational journey. Candidate Requirements: Strong proficiency in Maths (up to GCSE level ), with an A-level in Maths or equivalent being a plus. Experience working with students with special educational needs, especially those on the autism spectrum (desirable but not essential). A genuine passion for helping students succeed, with patience, empathy, and adaptability. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work effectively in a vibrant school environment.
