What's the role?? We are seeking an exceptional product leader to drive the strategy and execution of our sell-side solutions product offering. In this role, you will oversee a team of experienced product managers while establishing clear strategic direction based on client needs and market opportunities. You must work closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Sales, and all relevant support teams. Above all they will be encouraged to ensure a relentless drive to drive business growth. We will trust you to build a team that will: - Build and execute a strategic product roadmap for the Sell Side product workflow, ensuring alignment with Bloomberg's overall growth strategy. - Lead a collaborative effort across teams to innovate and expand our product range, leveraging your experience in trading applications to Identify market opportunities and gaps in current offerings to drive competitive advantage. - Partner with sell-side product and technology teams to define the target state product architecture and workflows - Implement effective product management processes and methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality product releases. - Drive data-informed decision making through appropriate metrics and analysis. - Utilize your deep knowledge of sell side trading workflow to identify client needs and build solutions that provide a competitive edge. - Engage directly with clients to understand their challenges and collaborate on developing scalable solutions. - Understand key pain points in the client workflows is known to create active plans to address them in a prioritized way - Define target client segments, their needs and how our products will address those needs by being the voice of the customer. Translate and prioritize these needs to adjacent product teams, helping them to understand the problem to be solved, ideate on viable solutions and help evaluate the effectiveness of those solutions post launch to inform the next round of product decisions. - Develop and maintain comprehensive product information and messaging, including materials for customized presentations and client engagement. Work closely with other members of the team to create effective product strategy material with appropriate messaging and product positioning for sales teams - Stay current on market trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes Team Leadership & Development - Lead and mentor a team of experienced product managers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development - Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and client-centricity - Establish clear expectations, goals, and performance metrics for the product team - Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, sales You'll Need to have: - Experience managing, developing, and growing product managers - Experience defining product strategy and roadmaps - Familiarity with sell-side technology ecosystems and integration points - Strong analytical capabilities for market sizing and opportunity assessment - Skilled at translating client needs into product requirements - History of successful product launches and market adoption - Ability to influence without direct authority across organizations - Strong communication and presentation skills, especially with senior stakeholders - Project management Skills (status, risks, issues, dependencies) - Understanding of financial market dynamics and how they impact trading technology - Understanding of Sell-side trading workflows and front-office technology Bloomberg is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
