HVE Vehicle Technician (High Voltage Electrical Technician)

Must be available between 23rd June – 15th July to attend 5 weeks consecutive training at Reading.
Are you a BMW / MINI trained Vehicle Technician with a Level 4 EV qualification and a passion for high-voltage vehicle technology? We’re looking for an experienced HVE Vehicle Technician to join Lithia UK, supporting our BMW & MINI dealerships with expert diagnostics and repairs on high-voltage battery systems.
Your Journey as a HVE Vehicle Technician:
1. Be the expert in EV safety by conducting in-depth assessments on high-voltage batteries, ensuring they meet safety standards and are ready to hit the road after faults or accidents.
2. Use your technical expertise to determine whether a battery can be repaired or needs replacing, keeping our customers moving with confidence.
3. Work hands-on with cutting-edge EV technology, performing precision repairs on high-voltage battery systems to manufacturer standards.
4. Follow and promote health and safety standards when working with high-voltage components.
5. Partner with the dealership teams to provide support, share your EV knowledge, and help shape the future of electric vehicles.
6. Work closely with Product Support Engineers, providing technical insights and collaborating on diagnostics, repairs, and system enhancements for high-voltage electric vehicles.
Are You Ready to Embrace the Challenge? We are looking for someone who has:
1. A Level 4 EV Qualification and current BMW/MINI manufacturer training, both essential for this role.
2. A full UK driving licence, required for travel between dealerships.
3. High voltage expertise to confidently and safely inspect, diagnose, and repair EV battery systems.
4. Experience working to the highest quality standards ideally within a franchised dealer, with the drive to exceed expectations and productivity targets.
5. The ability to use systems and equipment efficiently within our workshop.
6. A passion for our industry, the people who work in it, and the people we serve.
