Overview of the Role:
The Asset Manager will be responsible for the commercial and operational performance of an asset, overseeing all activities and acting as the central contact point for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will drive and manage all commercial aspects concerning operations and asset management of the projects. This role provides the opportunity to become part of the Asset Management team, managing a specific portfolio of assets and learning best in class operational management skills.
Key responsibilities:
* Commercial management of a portfolio of renewable assets (onshore, and offshore wind, photovoltaic, batteries, hybrid projects, or any other technology suitable for investment within the funds commitments), either under development, construction, or operation, and across different geographies.
* Management of Technical and Commercial Management Agreement providers (TCMAs) and oversight of the asset’s performance.
* Coordination and oversight of different workstreams within the asset together with the Fund Finance Team, the Head of Revenues, the Investment Team, and the Divestment Team.
* Preparation and management of the assets budget with the support of external contractors.
* Update of rolling cash forecasts to identify any potential breach or upside, and management of funding of projects in collaboration with the Fund Finance team.
* Managing and validating the monthly closures, invoicing, and payment supervision.
* Support during the formulation of the annual accounts and the audit processes.
* Management of the distributions to investors from the asset perspective.
* Management of the financing agreements and compliance with all corresponding undertakings from the project side to maximize distributions.
* Support Oversight Tax and manage tax advisors.
* Oversight asset tax compliance with the support of external contractors.
* Support delivery of asset transfer pricing exercises if applicable.
* Support monthly/quarterly reports: control and analysis of performance of operating assets against approved budgets and P&L.
* Support delivery of asset management monthly/quarterly pack, collecting and validating all information required by the AMC in relation to the fund portfolio.
* Support the development of best-in-class reporting standards.
* Support the Fund Finance team or the Investors Relations team with investor reporting process and ad hoc queries.
* Oversight and coordination preparation of financial reporting using the portfolio reporting tool to identify asset level performance and up-to-date issues.
* Report directly to the responsible Asset Controller and work alongside other asset and fund controllers and managers.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in commercial asset management, asset management or project management.
* Offshore experience/knowledge will be highly valued.
* Financial knowledge of renewable energy projects.
* Technical knowledge of different renewable technologies is desirable.
* Hybrid interest in commercial and technical aspects of asset management.
* Transaction experience desirable (from origination to execution).
* Financial modelling experience desirable.
* Relevant experience in the power industry required.
* Fluent English required with additional European languages preferable.
* Experience with project finance documentation and interaction desirable.
* Experience in management accounting, investment review, and tax structuring.
