Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic / Aviation Crew Chief
Location: Sierra Vista, AZ / OCONUS
Travel: Up to 50% of the time (Must be willing to travel on short notice)

Summary: Titan Echelon is seeking a skilled Crew Chief to support ground and flight operations for Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) assets. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Rotax and turbo-Rotax engines, with a focus on maintenance, supervision, and instruction. Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) group 3-5 maintenance and operations is a plus. This role ensures compliance with company and manufacturer procedures to meet high-performance standards for daily flight operations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily aircraft maintenance and flight line operations, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
* Provide classroom and field instruction on Rotax powerplant maintenance.
* Ensure adherence to safety, ground, flight, and training standards, as well as accurate logging of maintenance records.
* Maintain technical orders, inventory control, and part accounting.
* Track consumables, maintenance failures, and support data for MTBO/MTBF.
* Assist in managing critical parts inventory and meeting maintenance milestones.
* Prepare detailed technical reports and briefings for operations and engineering teams.
* Maintain aircraft maintenance logs and configurations in coordination with logistics personnel.
Computer Skills:
* Able to create documents, spreadsheets, or presentation products quickly and efficiently.
* Experience with technical writing, preparation of reports in Adobe.
* Digital computer logging of Aviation Maintenance procedures – familiarity with commercial/military requirements for logging and maintaining aircraft statuses.
* Ability to navigate digital maintenance resources and teach others.

* Ability to review, interpret, and apply industry standards (FAA/IACO/DoD) and ensure compliance with contract terms and requirements.
* Knowledge and experience with Air Vehicle Systems and subsystems, and Technical Manuals (General Systems, Job Guides, Work Instructions, Fault Isolation, etc.).
* Maintain Aircraft System maintenance logs and configuration with Logistician.
* Ability to obtain Crew Chief Designation after initial training.
Safety Equipment Used:
* Ability to use PPE for mechanical, audible, and chemical hazards.
* Additional equipment based on occupational hazard (situation dependent).
Qualifications & Experience:
* Education: High School Diploma or GED.
* Certifications: FAA A&P (IA);
* Medical: FAA Class 3 Physical (required annually).
* Experience: 5+ years in aircraft maintenance, with proven Rotax experience and factory training (heavy maintenance level).
* Additional Skills:
o Experience maintaining aircraft electrical systems.
o Familiarity with composite repair.
o Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
o U.S. Citizenship required.
