Job Description
If you’re looking to take the next step in your finance career, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join us on a permanent basis in our Central Region.
You’ll be reporting directly into the Senior Finance Business Partner and responsible for supporting the Supply Chain and Operations Division. This role will provide an appropriate balance of support and challenge to the supply chain management teams to enable them to achieve the business objective of sustainable profitable growth, with key focus on effective operational delivery and high levels of customer service. This role will be supporting several functions and depots across the South-West and Midlands.
We are offering a hybrid working contract with most of your time spent working from home. You will be required to attend a depot on a weekly basis, so you must be comfortable and flexible with a commute and ideally be located close to Bristol or Tamworth.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
5. Provision, analysis, and interpretation of weekly and monthly reports to enable performance to be monitored and enhanced.
6. Production of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
7. Provide weekly flash and monthly forecasts of depot costs and volumes in conjunction with non-finance management teams.
8. Reporting and monitoring of KPIs and volume on a weekly basis.
9. Preparation of budgets and forecasts to include appropriate and consistent levels of challenge to ensure cost control is maintained.
10. Close liaison with the management teams to help identify trends, CI opportunities, underperformance and such other issues as may enhance the performance and profitability of the business.
11. First point of contact for function management teams for Finance related matters.
12. Ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures to deliver tight financial control.
13. Ensure SOX requirements are met and ensure all documentation is provided and any variances are investigated with, and all backup documentation is provided.
14. Involvement in ad hoc projects and queries as required.
15. Generation/compilation of business cases to support local change projects.
16. To identify and resolve errors and discrepancies.
17. To plan, organize and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the department’s monthly and financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
18. To champion a culture of process improvement and assist with the execution of change programmes.
About you:
You’ll be a recently qualified accountant or a passed finalist, (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) currently operating as a Finance Business Partner, Management Account or Finance Analyst, looking to join a global organisation as part of your career development.
We are looking for someone who has the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels across the business and to challenge decisions in a constructive way, offering solutions to any problems, always ensuring the best outcome is achieved. Using your finance knowledge and experience you will provide a vital service and partner closely with the team on risk and continuous improvement, so you must be able to hold a strong conversation with sound analytical insight. The ability to understand trends and results with a high level of competency in financial analysis and modelling is essential. An advanced level of Microsoft Excel is also required. Any working knowledge of SAP or Workday is advantageous.
