The Role? First Integrated Solutions are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on a Full Time, Permanent basis. Based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, reviewing all billing for FIS and group companies, as well as processing transactions, and assisting to prepare the annual accounts. The successful candidate will hold previous experience in a similar position and ideally have experience in practice and industry, qualified in either ACA, CIMA or ACCA would be advantageous. What will you do? Preparation of monthly management accounts and slide packs including revenue and cost of sale recognition, fixed asset additions, disposals and depreciation, balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals. Comparison of actuals to budget, highlighting reasons for any variances in accordance with company procedures. Monthly reconciliation and analysis of cross hired equipment invoices received, ensuring that all equipment has been invoiced accordingly. Ensure suitable GRNI accrual calculated for monthly management accounts. Reconciliation of monthly intercompany recharges and general trading with various companies across the group. Preparation of daily rates reports for accurate tracking of rental charges and highlighting any potential issues. Monthly review of accounts payable & receivable postings to Sage to ensure coding, descriptions and VAT status are correct, highlighting any changes needing to be made. Calculation of any rebates for review by the Finance Director, issuing credit notes where required. Ensuring the weekly chasing of overdue debtors to ensure timely payment of invoices. Ensuring monthly statements of account are sent to customers to ensure all invoices have been received. Assisting with credit control where required to resolve any issues. Investigate and ensure compliance with any location-based taxation requirements (employment tax, income tax, withholding tax, etc.), liaising with external tax advisors where required. Roll forward annual budget spreadsheet, forecast expected overheads, and send to relevant department managers for their completion. Consolidate the department budgets for final review by the Managing Director and Finance Director. Assist with the annual audit, providing backup to auditors and answering any queries as required. Any ad hoc reporting requirements as required. Ensuring bank reconciliations are completed in Sage monthly. Monitoring daily cashflow forecast and maintaining 13 week rolling cashflow to monitor cashflow on daily/weekly basis and appropriately managing cash resources. Setting up any payments required for approval in accordance with company procedures. Assist to prepare annual statutory accounts for all companies for review. Assist to review of tax packs provided by external tax advisors. Review and submit quarterly VAT returns and ensure their accuracy/compliance. Responsible for the completion of ONS surveys. Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires. Carry out work in accordance with 1st Integrated Solutions operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements. Your Qualification & Experience? Essential: Part qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Sufficient experience in a similar role. Extensive experience in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel. Significant experience in the use of Sage Accounts or similar accounting package. Preferred: Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) You Are?
