JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sales Manager position is a key position in the Company. Carrying out continuous customer and staff relations services, the position provides the postholder with a genuinely rewarding experience and provides a springboard to a leisure management career in one of the most attractive and fast-growing leisure management companies.
Primary objectives for the Sales Manager will be:
To take responsibility for all aspects of the sales journey from picking up the phone to hitting the monthly membership targets.
To promote excellence of customer services and motivate people to enjoy exercise through good communications and selling skills.
To ensure the development and growth of the membership base managing both new joiners and cancellations.
To have an involvement in the day-to-day delivery and management of the sales process at the club achieving KPI's, being self-motivated and delivering sales activity to ensure the targets and highest levels of customer service are always achieved.
To actively network within the community to the benefit of the company, creating corporate links, marketing opportunities and embedding the centre within the heart of the community.
To work closely with the front of house, regional and marketing team to ensure that sales are driven locally and via social media platforms.
The Sales Manager will focus day to day on the following tasks:
To ensure that the sales targets of the clubs health and fitness lines are achieved, and the appropriate resources are implemented.
To produce daily performance records, statistics and reports.
To manage the marketing of the centre both internally and online.
To ensure all staff are kept informed of the Club's activities and special events.
To ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort working with the operations team.
To ensure effective use of CRM software for outbound sales activity, appointment setting and daily/ weekly/ monthly payment.
To undertake any other duties as may be required by the General Manager to ensure that the business objectives of the Club are achieved.
To oversee and support the front of house department and, dealing with membership issues, escalated queries and assisting front of house at busy periods.
THE CANDIDATE
As the successful candidate you must be flexible, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team. Sales experience is required, and you will understand basic sales processes and telesales. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and a real passion for fitness. We are looking for a people person who can engage with our current membership base and new opportunities within the local community, as well as managing and driving a sales team to optimum performance.
