Overview
We are building a talent pool of experienced Commercial Managers across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines for future opportunities within the UKs nuclear new build program. This is not a current vacancy, but rather an opportunity to be considered for future positions as they arise at projects including Hinkley Point C (Somerset) and Sizewell C (Suffolk).
About the Future Opportunities
When positions become available, successful candidates will join commercial teams responsible for managing contracts valued from £50m to £2.8bn+. Youll play a crucial role in providing commercial leadership across various scopes including:
• Civil engineering and construction works
• Mechanical and electrical installations
• Multi-discipline project delivery
• Infrastructure development
• Building services and facilities
Potential Role Scope
Depending on your discipline and the specific opportunity, responsibilities may include:
• Leading and mentoring commercial teams
• Managing contract administration and risk
• Developing and implementing commercial strategies
• Overseeing financial control and reporting
• Managing client and stakeholder relationships
• Driving supply chain management
• Providing commercial guidance to project teams
• Preparing forecasts and budgets
• Managing change control processes
• Negotiating contracts and final accounts
Required Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field
• Extensive experience in commercial management
• Strong knowledge of NEC suite of contracts
• Track record of managing large-scale projects
• Experience leading commercial teams
Discipline-Specific Requirements (depending on role):
• Mechanical: MEP installation commercial experience
• Electrical: Power generation/distribution commercial knowledge
• Civil: Infrastructure and buildings commercial expertise
Desirable:
• MRICS or working towards chartership
• Nuclear or regulated industry experience
• Experience with Option C/E NEC contracts
• Professional body memberships
