Advertising Creative (Commercial), Glasgow/Hybrid
The Role
STV Creative are recruiting for an established and passionate Advertising Creative ready to hit the ground running and help deliver brilliant work for some of Scotland’s biggest brands. Working within the Commercial division, the Creative team make bespoke multi-platform campaigns for brands across the country, as well as working very closely with STV’s own platforms to integrate commercial partnerships across the channel.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Advertising Creative will work directly with clients, so proven experience of pitching and engaging with clients is essential in addition to copywriting, idea generation and art direction skills.
What you’ll be doing
* Getting to the heart of a client’s brief and providing creative solutions that get results.
* Developing smart creative concepts that work across STV’s products and multiple platforms.
* Working across creative on ad campaigns from start to finish and across all deliverables, from generating original ideas, to copy writing to art directing.
* Directing live action shoots where required.
* Contributing to, developing and leading creative pitches.
* Developing and selling in creative strategy, big ideas, and STV Creative’s credentials to clients.
* Understanding STV’s commercial products and how clients can use them strategically and creatively.
* Contributing creative ideas to assist with commercial product development.
* Building and maintaining relationships with clients and commercial colleagues.
* Working collaboratively with STV Creative Producers and freelance Animators, Motion Designers, DOPs, Editors and Directors to execute your ideas.
* Assist with any other aspect of the work of the company as reasonably required.
What you’ll need
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar advertising creative role, within an advertising agency or media environment is essential.
* A strong creative portfolio, with demonstrable experience of delivering effective creative campaigns for clients.
* Evidence of strategic creative thinking, developing big ideas and a strong grasp of the creative process.
* Confident communication, presentation, and client management skills.
* Strong copywriting skills and a flair for visual communication.
* Experience using Adobe Suite is essential.
* Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
* Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure, whilst maintaining an eye for detail and accuracy.
* A demonstrable passion for TV, advertising and creativity.
* Awareness of the fast-changing media landscape, with an interest in new technology.
* People skills, a positive attitude, openness to feedback, and willingness to collaborate.
Salary range: £25,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)
