Procurement Category Manager (Digital & STEM) Hybrid / £37,999-£45.163 We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to support the Digital Services and STEM categories. This role is vital in providing a professional procurement service, including stakeholder engagement, tendering, commercial negotiation, and supplier management. You’ll ensure procurement aligns with financial, environmental, health & safety, and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop sourcing strategies with key stakeholders, advising on procurement routes and evaluating commercial and regulatory risks. Lead tendering activities in compliance with policies and regulations. Prepare tender documentation and manage supplier negotiations for optimal terms. Produce reports to support category planning and savings targets. Oversee purchase requisitions and contract requests, ensuring policy compliance. Build strong networks with internal stakeholders to facilitate procurement processes. Skills & Experience: CIPS qualification or equivalent experience. Public sector procurement knowledge, including PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), or experience in procuring IT, digital services, or lab equipment. Strong communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement. Experience drafting tender documents and managing public sector procurement processes. Proficiency in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
