St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Junior Chef de Partie to join its busy Catering and Conference Department. Using the best fresh ingredients, the postholder will assist the Executive Chef in the provision of meals within the College and maintain standards of work and cleaning within the Kitchen.
The College is very well respected within the hospitality industry and has a high reputation for its food and service, which we are always looking to improve upon. All staff are fully trained in allergy awareness, and the College is a member of the Sustainable Restaurants Association and TUCO.
You will be qualified to NVQ3 level, City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 and 706/3 or equivalent together with previous relevant experience within a high-class establishment. Basic knowledge of HACCP principles and COSHH regulations are essential.
