Here at Kingston College, part of South Thames Colleges Group, we are looking for a Lecturer to teach in some of the following areas:
* Mechanical Engineering
* Mechanical Principles
The ability to teach practical maintenance classes is desirable, but not essential, as is offering more than one specialism.
You will teach both FE and HE vocational Level 2/3 BTEC and T-Level programmes for full-time and apprenticeship students. Additionally, there may be some opportunities to teach HE Engineering up to level 5. You will be responsible for the delivery, conduct, and progress of students on these courses, in line with College and School policies and procedures, ensuring the provision for these students is of high quality.
We're looking for someone who is educated to degree level (or holds a high academic qualification) in an appropriate subject and who has experience of delivering training at Level 3 in an Engineering environment or an educational setting. You'll have knowledge of new technologies to enhance teaching and learning to support students.
With high personal standards and expectations, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational, and administrative skills, and be able to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines. You will have an awareness of academic quality standards and be receptive to new ideas and initiatives, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
